Does anyone know if Afterpay will be available for in store purchases ?

Unfortunately there is not definite timeline on if/when in person purchases for afterpay will be available. I would just recommend keeping your on the here for any announcements periodically for what Afterpay gets integrated into next.

For a service based business, if the client does not have after pay is there some type of cap for them initially signing up? Or does it split their total into 4 payments automatically ?

This would depend on the customer's Afterpay eligibility. Each Aterpay user will submit their information through Afterpay directly for approval and calculation of payment rates. You can find more information on Aftepay's support center here.
