Is it possible to schedule a blog story so that it posts on the Stories page, on a future date?

This is not an available feature at this time. I would recommend heading over to the Ideate Boards to see all of the Feature Requests other sellers have been submitting. There you can add your vote, comment, or provide a workaround - if you have found one.
