Laptop requirements for Square Appointments

Newbie here, curious on requirements needed in a laptop for a small barbershop to process square and run the appointments Do not want to purchase something that will not have enough memory or processing capability for the long term. What are you choices?

Welcome! As long as the laptop is a Mac, Windows, or Chromebook you should be able to run Square. Because the virtual terminal and appointments are browser-based, it’s just a digital POS that lets you offer credit card processing, regardless of what operating system you use.

But can you keep track of which team members sell what product? A lot of rental salons provide retail and then pay out commissions. I would like to be able to use my desk top for retail check outs (which go to the salon bank account and then the salon pays out retail commissions)

Yes, you can run sales summaries for employees. You can also easily change between computers. Square and the Dashboard are browser-based, all you need to do is log in to get the information you are looking for.
